Since it provides support for video, picture, and audio files, Hiro Player can be used to view videos, watch images, and listen to audio. This is a very simple, very easy to use media player that is offered for the great price of free.
There is a catch though - Hiro Player is indeed free, but it comes bundled with some extra software. The application’s setup wizard does not allow you to complete the installation process unless you agree to install the CouponDropDown plugin (adds advertisements to your web browsing experience) and unless you agree to install the Online Sharing Community Toolbar (install the toolbar, change your default search, change your default homepage). These can be uninstalled later on, of course. Still, it’s not nice that you cannot opt out.
Hiro Player’s interface is comprised of three panels. The one to the left lists the media files you loaded. The one in the upper right hand side plays the media you selected (it plays a video, displays an image, and so on). And the panel in the lower right presents the playback controls. It is a simple layout that you will quickly get accustomed to.
From a functionality point of view, you can expect to get the following from Hiro Player: play video files, view image files, listen to audio files, full screen mode, manage a playlist, volume controls, repeat on/off, shuffle media. There’s not much more that Hiro Player can do – as mentioned above, this is a simple media player for Windows-powered machines.
Use Hiro Player to view videos, watch images, and listen to audio files. From its simple interface you can very easily do so.

Hiro Player is compatible with Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7. The application’s interface is quite simple. The application provides support for videos, images, and audio files. Hiro Player is free software.
Cons
The setup wizard does not allow you to opt out of installing a plugin and a toolbar.
